Moonrise
Moonrise, or The Fox and the Oak Tree, a second commission just completed. Now I am looking at books of Grotesques, Gargoyles, and Miserichords, to build up some ideas for carving small and strange medeival creatures. Watch this space,,,,

Peace Tree
It was my pleasure to carve this commissioned piece for a good friend's birthday. A mighty piece of top grade oak, which weighed a lot!
Loosely based on the face of Sylvia Pankhurst, the most socialist of the Pankhurst girls, who bravely took an anti-war stand in 1914, while her sister & mother encouraged men to sign up.

Resurrexi
Resurrexi is my second Christ carved specifically for the Bethany to Jerusalem exhibition at Falmer Church, East Susses, UK. Open Easter Day and Easter Monday 11-5, then weekends till May 2nd. I chose roses, not thorns. Carved in ash with a lovely grain.
An interesting and vibrant collection of art in a small village church, by the duck pond + free parking.
